MTT, Agrifood Research Finland
MTT, Agrifood Research Finland (Maa- ja elintarviketalouden tutkimuskeskus) was established in 1898 as part of the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. It specialises in agricultural, horticultural, food production and environmental scientific research. It also develops and promotes the transfer of new technology for the agriculture and food sectors. The Agropolis Ltd was established as a development company for the Agricultural and food sectors. It`s owned by MTT and some other organizations.
MTT employs from 500 to 660 people depending on the time of the year.
