The Narrow Gauge Railway
The museum railway has operated between Jokioinen and Minkiö since1971, using the original carrages and steam engines. The original railway started operation in 1898 and ended on 31.3.1974. The museum railway traffic started again in 1978 using the track between Minkiö and Jokioinen and continued until 1994. Then the track was rebuilt on the original line to Humppila. The railway gages are 750 mm wide and the length of the line is now 14km. The operation is based on volunteer workers. On summer sundays there is a cafe and souvenir shop at Minkiö station. You can travel by steam between June and August on Sundays and other times by appointment.
